A sci-fi action thriller directed by Christopher Nolan, TENET, has passed the $200 million USD mark at the global box office.
Despite the early domestic low of $6.7 million which is probably caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, the film managed to gather a whopping $37.7 million worldwide over three days during its second weekend. The opening weekend of TENET earned $20.2 million domestically across 2,810 theaters in the United States and debuted with over $100 million overseas. Ann Sarnoff who spoke to Variety stated that WarnerMedia Studios wants to keep the movie an extended period so audiences can find “time to get comfortable with the idea of returning to multiplexes.”
